As stated by Lochan Kate ( Gwaliar)...

In this shloka Sri Swamy Samarthji is addressing our mind to consider the following aspects.

In the path of self realization one has to put many efforts. These efforts have to be done with some basic understandings.
The foremost is is understanding of the purpose of our getting the Human birth. It is quite clear from earlier delibrations that the sole purpose of our taking the birth in this human form is Self Realization. i.e. understanding "Who we are" "( Swaswarupa). If we do not work towards this aim then we are wasting a very rare opportunity given to us. This is what is meant by the word " Apale Hita i.e. Swahita.

"Mana eva manushyan karanam, bandhamokshayo" Our mind binds us or liberates us. This liberation is from the cycle of taking birth- and then dying and repaeting this infinitely.
This binding or liberation are achieved by our mind alone. That is why Samartha is advising our mind that " O'Mind understand that you must lookafter your own welfare. The real welfare is in understanding "Who you are? " Put all your effort for this specific aim and ensure that you do not waste the godsent opportunity of this Human Birth.

Of cource to achieve this aim some efforts are required. What these efforts are is described in the last two lines of the shloka.

Swamiji advises us that do not think anything other than Lord SriRama. This aspect needs to be explained in detail.
One method to be followed is to continuously remember the name of the LOrd. This is Namasmarana. But it becomes many a time a mechanical activity done mentelly. The real Bhava is lost.

In order that this may not happen; additionally we need to remember the following two aspects.
a) The first aspect is about our sense of ownership of the things.
We say my sun, my wife, my family, my house, my intelect. But on a deeper contemplation we can easily understand that all these really are not ours. We came with empty hands and will leave this world with empty hands.Real ownership is LORDS. If he desires he can make a man Crorepati.then in next instant he makes that same man loose what he had earned.The house which we proudly show to our friends as our own, passes from hand to hands after our death and some times during our lifespan itself. Thus all the wealth which is here actually is owned by the creater of it The Supreme LORD. We should think about this every day.

b) Second aspect is the aspect of Doership. Actully we get inspiration and then we act to do anything. The inspiration is given by the LORD. Thus actually speaking He is the driver of this body mashine.
Therefore we should surrender to him and pray to Him that he gives the reason and intellect and finally the experience to us ; to understand our true nature. When this desire becomes intense then it is called "NIJADHYAS" . Samartha swamy is telling us to put our maximum , untiring efforts.
It is worth examining for each of us ourselves whether really do we have such an intense desire? . If it is there then we will put all our efforts to know out true nature.
By giving thoughts about the aspects a and b above this desire can develope in our mind. that is what each of us should aim for.
This is the message of this particular shloka.
